The Prophetess Anna by Rembrandt. One of my favourite paintings. You need to stand in front of it to really appreciate the attention to detail. The way he painted the fine wrinkles on her hand took my breath away. If you’re ever in Amsterdam, take a couple of hours out of your day to go to the Rijksmuseum. You won’t be disappointed.
